Butt welding is used to save the material, in two basic situations: when very expensive material is needed for the active part, but standard steel may be used for the rest of the tool, or when the product has different diameters (dimensions), (e.g. flanged pipes)
FSR is equipped with two butt welding plants:
- Friction welding - for φ12-50mm, Lmin=30mm, Lmax=800mm
- Electric welding - for special products (large dimensions, polygonal sectionS):
- round section materials - φ30-90mm
- polygonal section materials - 12-40mm width
